What is the typical time line for a project?

The complexity of the program usually dictates the length of the project. For more sophisticated projects we break the project timeline down into separate phases, each of these phases will have specific milestones to insure the project remains on track . A typical project will last several days to several months

After a program is completed, to what do I have rights to?

After completion of the program you will receive a complete package, (paper, with electronic copies), of all documents and related items to the program. You will have legal rights to all the intellectual property that was developed for you. We retain the rights to our own internal knowledge, intellectual property, design tools and methodologies which we utilized to arrive at your solution.

How are we billed?

Billing can occur several ways. For smaller projects we will give a quotation, which is due after the work is completed. For larger, more complex programs, we generally work based on an hourly rate. Payments are generally spread over the course of the program. A typical program would have payments at start of the program, in conjunction with the completion of critical milestones, and at the completion of the program.

Work can be performed at the customers site, or in situ. A large portion of design work, simulation, and documentaion can occur in situ, this benefits you in terms of cost savings. However, larger process related programs lasting several days, weeks or even months can easily occur on site. Different rates apply to situations so please inquire for furthur details.

At the conclusion of a program, what documentation do I receive?

At the conclusion of a program you will recieve a binder of hardcopys of all the work performed as well as a CD containing all of the support files. We typically supply these documents in Microsoft Word or PDF format. However, some design software has its own formats which are not always transportable. We will ask you what formats you would like to have at the start of the program.
